Emerge from the depths of winter with this workshop focussing on embracing the season of Spring. Often a time of hope with the welcome of longer, lighter days and new shoots of growth, this workshop can support reflections from previous springs, and develop a deeper understanding of what opportunities you may have moving forwards.  Whilst you will have opportunity to work on your own topic, this workshop does lend itself well to the concept of 'Joy in Work', Hope, and New Beginnings.

Price £45 - £85 per person (Groups 6-20) 

No sewing experience is necessary - all materials and instructions will be provided.

Do you have a regular daily or weekly reflective practice? Have you thought about developing your own skills within reflective practice? Or maybe you are intrigued to see how it can be done differently?  Using creativity can be an excellent way to develop your work and this could be an excellent opportunity for you.  This workshop is a 'free topic' workshop to enable you to develop your own skills in fabric/ sewing creativity with reflective practice.

For me, within reflection, I am learning how powerful the process of sewing and embroidery is to support a deeper reflective outcome.  There will be a variety of fabrics and cottons available to pick and choose according to what inspires you.

Price £45 - £85 per person (Groups 6-20)

As with most of the workshops, they are designed to be inclusive for all and so you do not need to have sewing skills or experience before you attend. However, if you have, it can be so beneficial for others to share the skills.

Are you a practice educator or a university lecturer and have responsibility to teach reflective practice as part of the education offer the organisation provides? As an advocate for promoting creativity to support inclusivity, are you interested in developing the teaching with a different mindset? If you are, do get in touch to see how both myself and this approach can support you in your work?. From commissioned facilitated events, through to provision of supplies and equipment, there is an option available here for you.  I am passionate to support new generations of learning and very happy to contribute directly to the learning agenda or collaborate on future projects. 

The price for bespoke events will be individually priced and will be based upon fabrics/materials required, facilitation fees and where relevant, the venue cost.

Self-care at any time of year is so important.​ During the workshop I will share with you techniques for doing reflective practice with a creative approach. Using fabrics provided, you will have the opportunity to practice basic stitching techniques and create your own reflective piece. Your work and fabrics will be yours to take away.

In the current context in healthcare, there is lots of uncertainty and lots of requests for change. Many people have such excellent skills and experience to share but how well do we react when we are asked to change what we do? Do you jump on board, or hide in a box? This workshop offers you the chance to reflect on your experiences of change and understand how your reactions help and hinder you in these situations. It is a practical workshop with simple weaving of ribbons and simple stitch.
